Update on the National Living Wage Foundation and Support Staff Pay

The UK Living Wage as prescribed by the charitable Living Wage Foundation has been revised and all employers who have made the commitment to pay this rate will need to ensure that pay arrangements fall in line with the new rate of £9.00 (outside of Greater London) by 1st May 2019.

Schools who currently pay a supplement to meet the minimum rate of the Living Wage Foundation will be aware that this will no longer be necessary from 1st April 2019. The NJC minimum hour rate will be £9.00 per hour following the introduction of the revised pay spine for support staff. For further information please contact your Heads HR consultant.
